The most simple and by far the most popular version of the challenge. On the 1st of the month all you need to do is go out and run 1km. On the 2nd, run 2km. Keep this up until the end of the month and you'll have clocked up 496. Easy right? The incremental nature of this version is where the challenge really lies. By the end of the first week you'll have only completed 28/496 kms. You won't hit the halfway mark until day 22. The final few days will be tough, but totally worth it when on the 31st you can put your feet up, get put on Sean's finishers board and request your medal knowing you've started the year by ticking off a pretty colossal running challenge.
